Elementary (6-10 years of age) Grades 1-5 in the Fall

The Brickton Montessori School Summer Camp for boys and girls ages 6 to 10 is summer at its best -- discovering the world around them during class time and having plenty of fun in the great outdoors.

The Elementary Summer Camp is composed of themed, two-week sessions which will engage your child in a wide array of substantial, hands-on activities with both peers and adults.  The Day Camp experience includes physical education, organized games, field trips, language development, arts and crafts, computer enrichment opportunities and daily snacks.  On Tuesdays and Fridays, Lower Elementary students spend their afternoons in Creative Interlude classes.  Thursdays are set aside for field trips.

In the popular "Choice-o-rama," children are offered a continuously changing selection of special interest activites.  This means that every Monday and Wednesday, the children can decide how they would like to spend their afternoon.

Time is devoted to fun in the sun with field trips (museums, zoos, water parks, bowling, etc.), picnics, sports and swimming at a nearby pool.  Swimming features small group lessons followed by a free swim.

All children must bring their own lunches.  Milk service is optional.  Brickton Montessori School is a nut-free school.  For the safety of students, no nuts of any kind are allowed.  Brickton T-shirts must be worn on all field trips, including walks around the neighborhood.  T-shirts may be purchased for $10.

Staff

The summer staff is a deeply committed and caring group who encourage students to do their best, expand their horizons, and have a ton of fun at the same time.  A high ratio of staff to campers is maintained at all times, and a staff member trained as a lifeguard always accompanies the group to the pool.
