Children's House (3-5 years of age)

The Brickton Montessori School Summer Camp for boys and girls ages 3 to 5 is summer at its best -- a Montessori classroom indoors and summertime fun outdoors.  Activities and materials in this program are designed to nuture physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.  New activities stimulate and challenge the child to explore and absorb the world at his or her own pace.  In the Montessori classroom, your child will have the opportunity to learn grace and courtesy and work with materials in a variety of areas such as math, language, science and geography.  There will be time to read, sing, play games and enjoy friends.

Part of the day will be spent outdoors in the warm sunshine where children may enjoy nature, plant a garden, hike to the playground or splash in the pool.

Children ages 4-5 have the option of taking field trips to such places as Niles Leisure Pool, children's museums, Lincoln Park Zoo and the forest preserve.  Campers will also enjoy in-school entertainment, such as traveling zoos, puppeteers or magicians.

Full day and Core Program chidlren must bring their own lunches.  Milk service is optional.  Brickton Montessori School is a nut-free school.  For the safety of students, no nuts of any kind are allowed.  Brickton T-shirts must be worn on all field trips, including walks around the neighborhood.  T-shirts may be purchased for $10.
