Giving to Brickton

We are very proud of our community of giving at Brickton Montessori School.  Parents, Alumni, Alumni Parents, Faculty, Staff, Board Members, Friends of Brickton, and Foundations help support the school with generous financial donations.  It is important that we raise money to help pay the operating costs of the school as well as to fund projects like our recent “re-branding”; we re-designed our logo and updated the school to reflect our new look.  Thanks to the help and support of donors and volunteers, Brickton is thriving.

Ways to Donate

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a campaign run every year to raise money for the school.  Our goal is to raise $50,000, but it is also incredibly important that we obtain 100% participation from Parents, Board Members, and Faculty.  This money goes towards supporting the operating costs of the school including salaries, administrative fees, accreditation fees, and membership fees.  Many companies also offer Matching Gifts if you choose to donate.  In recent years, we have received Matching Gifts from Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase, McDonald’s, Kraft Foods, Jones Lang LaSalle, Reuters America, Markel Corporation, and Northern Trust.  Ask if your company offers a Matching Program!  If you would like to make a pledge or donation to Brickton Montessori School, please contact Molly Arnoldt in the Development Office.

Annual Benefit
Every year, Brickton hosts the Annual Benefit, a dinner and auction for the Parents, Friends and Staff of Brickton.  We solicit corporations and small business for donations to our Silent Auction which, in the past, have included American Girl Dolls, Chicago Bulls Tickets, Work by local artists, Lake Geneva Spring Getaways, Handmade articles by students, and even a night of babysitting from Middle School students.  Each classroom also creates a large art project that is auctioned off at the Silent Auction.  This is a project that each student contributes to, and it brings in the biggest money to Brickton.  Our “Direct Deposit” program is a unique opportunity for parents to purchase items that will be ordered and placed in the classroom.  The Annual Benefit is not only financially beneficial to Brickton Montessori School, but a fun-filled night to dress up and socialize.  If you would like to donate an item to the Annual Benefit, please contact Molly Arnoldt in the Development Office.

The Bob Kelley Memorial Fund
Brickton Montessori School was proud to have Bob Kelley as a member of our Giving Community.  After his death in 2007, Brickton founded the Bob Kelley Memorial Fund which raises money for technology improvements at the school.  If you would like to donate to the Bob Kelley Memorial Fund, please contact Molly Arnoldt in the Development Office.

What Can I Do Now?

There are many things you can do now to become a part of Brickton’s community of giving.  You can register your Target Visa or Target RedCard online at Target.com, and each time you use your Card, a portion will be donated directly back to Brickton.  You can also register your Dominick’s card online at eScrips.com or participate in our Jewel Shop and Share Days (dates of Shop and Share Days are posted on the Calendar).  If you are “going green” like us, you can purchase products from LetsGoGreen.biz and indicate Brickton in the checkout to get a portion of your purchase price donated to the school.  We also participate in the Abitibi Recycling Program; two large green bins are located on our property for paper recycling donations.  Each month, Abitibi writes a check to Brickton based on the amount of paper collected in these bins.  If you have any questions about how to participate in these fundraisers, please contact Erika Bolte in the Development Office.

In a world centered at a child’s eye level, big discoveries are an everyday occurrence. Surrounded by inviting Montessori materials even the youngest child becomes a scientist, an explorer, a philosopher, a teacher—developing skills that are the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
